Line
Line refers to continuous marks that can be, vertical. horizontal, diagonal, curved, straight, thin or thick.

Shape
When lines come together they form shapes. Shapes are two dimensional and can be geometrical such as, rectangles, ovals, squares etc.
Form
Forms are three dimensional.  Referring to length, width and height. They can include, cube, pyramids, spheres, and cylinders etc.

Value 
Refers changesn the base color which is determined by the amount of light or reflection on a given surface.
Texture
Texture refers to the surface of the artwork. Texture can be actual, simulated, or invented.

Space
Space is what an artist works with to create a visual perspective.  It gives the illusion of depth.  The way an artist uses positive and negative space has a huge impact on the viewer's experience.

Color
Color has 3 characteristics, hue, value, and intensity.
Hue = shades
Value = light and dark
Intensity = brightness or dullness
